Given where it’s situated on our planet, it’s not surprising that it’s a great sun trap. With long, idyllic white beaches, crystal blue seas, and amazing ocean resorts, Mexico is a sun worshipper’s paradise. Gorge on their fresh, spicy cuisine while sipping margaritas, and then dance the night away when the sun goes down. And it’s not all spring break revellers – the further down south you travel, the more sedate and relaxing the resorts become, as a general rule.

  1. Do some good

Many of us are in the fortunate position to be able to help others, which is why “travelteerism” – travelling and volunteering – has really taken off.. It can be a really rewarding experience, and amazing for adding to a resume. There are so many different opportunities, from wildlife conservation in Guatemala, to teaching English in Nicaragua, so there’s something for everyone. There are some particularly great opportunities to volunteer in Costa Rica, from working in schools with special needs children, to sea turtle conservation. And there are many opportunities to travel and see the sights throughout these volunteering positions, so they’re great for anyone with the travel bug.Ancient Ruins
